It’s been three months since my dads passing, I miss him so much. I’m laying in bed remembering his voice, scent and especially his laugh. I should be sound asleep but instead I’m flooded with memories of yesterday. I keep thinking I’ll get his call in the middle of the early morning to just talk. The moments as there were so many in which our hands held tight as we bowed in prayer. Songs sung to our farther in heaven. Conversations of what’s to come.

I miss you daddy!

Crows & Locusts →

It was the year
The crows and the locusts came
The fields drained dry the rain
The fields are bleeding

“Daddy don’t cry, it’ll be alright”
She puts some water on the wound
And hums a little tune
While her courage puddles on the ground
Pooling, pooling

See the murder and the swarm descend
And the night is getting thick
The moon telling her tricks
She’d betray her every time

It was the year
The crows and the locusts came
The fields drained dry the rain
The fields are bleeding

It was the age
The foxes came for the fields
We were bleeding as we bowed to kneel
And prayed for mercy, prayed for mercy

The rumble is low and the heat is high
Got a feeling that there’s rain out in the oil black sky

Gonna chase away the devil when that sun does rise
Gonna plead the blood
Gonna plead the blood

It was the year
The crows and the locusts came
The fields drained dry the rain
The fields are bleeding

It was the age
The foxes came for the fields
We were bleeding as we bowed to kneel
And prayed for mercy, prayed for mercy

She limps on up to the top of a mount
Looks at the faltered harvest
Feels her sweat in the ground and the burn in her nose
And the knowing in her guts
Something’s still gonna grow
She ain’t leaving ‘till it does.

What can wash away my sin
Nothing but the blood…
What can make me whole again
Nothing but the blood…

The Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition

Sweet disposition, never too soon
Oh, reckless abandon
Like no one’s watching you

A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh
A kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs
A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh
A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh

Just stay there
‘Cause I’ll be coming over
And while our blood’s still young
It’s so young, it runs
And we won’t stop ‘til it’s over
Won’t stop to surrender

 Soon and very soon
My King is coming
Robed in righteousness
And crowned with love
When I see Him, I
shall be made like Him
Soon and very soon

Soon and very soon
I’ll be going
To the place He has prepared for me
There my sin erased
My shame forgotten
Soon and very soon

I will be with the One I love
With unveiled face I’ll see
There my soul will be satisfied
Soon and very soon

Soon and very soon
See the procession
The angels and the elders
’round the throne
At His feet I’ll lay my crown, my worship
Soon and very soon

Though I have not seen Him
My heart knows Him well
Jesus Christ the Lamb
The Lord of Heaven

He waits for me in His resting place…

I am constantly amazed how when I come to meet my God in His resting place, no matter how long I have been away or distracted; He however, has always been there patiently waiting on my arrival.

He greets me with open arms and before I am able to open my mouth, mind, heart and soul to unleash what I naively think what I’m about to say is new to him…He whispers in His small overwhelming voice, “Child, it will all be alright.”

He is more than I can wrap my mind around. He loves like no other and he and only he, with no matter how many of my mistakes I make and  how long I’ve been away from Him…he waits! He care enough to wait!

I’m sitting here spending time with my heavenly father and reflecting on His love, grace and allowing Him to consume me.

He is holding me, listening to me, and there is no place else I’d rather be.

~Lo

My friends, I encourage you to spend some time with Him as he waits now, and as I am reminded of a quote that says “Such a time as this” I know that He may always be there, but will you?

Got Milk? :)

Got Milk? :)

I know I need You
I need to love You
I love to see You, but it’s been so long
I long to feel You
I feel this need for You
And I need to hear You, is that so wrong?

Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.

Now You pull me near You
When we’re close, I fear You
Still I’m afraid to tell You, all that I’ve done
Are You done forgiving?
Oh can You look past my pretending?
Lord, I’m so tired of defending, what I’ve become
What have I become?

Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.

I hear You say,
“My love is over. It’s underneath.
It’s inside. It’s in between.
The times you doubt Me, when you can’t feel.
The times that you question, ‘Is this for real?’
The times you’re broken.
The times that you mend.
The times that you hate Me, and the times that you bend.
Well, My love is over, it’s underneath.
It’s inside, it’s in between.
These times you’re healing, and when your heart breaks.
The times that you feel like you’re falling from grace.
The times you’re hurting.
The times that you heal.
The times you go hungry, and are tempted to steal.
The times of confusion, in chaos and pain.
I’m there in your sorrow, under the weight of your shame.
I’m there through your heartache.
I’m there in the storm.
My love I will keep you, by My pow’r alone.
I don’t care where you fall, where you have been.
I’ll never forsake you, My love never ends.
It never ends.”

Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Oh, oh.
